Instagram page safety with DM automation, from connecting to the day of a restriction
Keeping an Instagram page safe with automated DMs means the tool never does what Instagram reads as spam — and that you are not left guessing if Instagram ever restricts the page. DirectFa connects only through Meta’s official API and Instagram’s own login screen and never asks for your password; it sends comment replies in order at a safe pace, keeps any one sentence from repeating under your comments, and if Instagram restricts the page’s messaging it stops automated sending at once, shows you the evidence for why, and gives the paused days back to your subscription.
Safe sending is on — 12 comment replies are on their way, in order and at a natural pace, and all of them go out within about 3 minutes.
Instagram has temporarily restricted messaging from this page — automated sending is paused until Thursday 21:30
Page safety in DirectFa, layer by layer
Meta’s official API only, Instagram’s own login only
The page connects through Instagram’s own login screen, where you approve the permissions yourself; we never ask for or see your password, and no Facebook Page is needed. DirectFa’s app has passed Meta’s App Review, and the business behind it is verified by Meta. There are no browser scripts, no password logins and no unofficial connections — the ways that put pages most at risk.
Only replies, to people who wrote first
Every DM DirectFa sends goes to someone who messaged the page, replied to a story or commented, and only within the time Instagram allows. For each rule you also choose how many times it may answer one person in 24 hours (3 by default), so nobody gets message after message for repeating a word.
A safe-sending queue for comment replies
When comments pour in, the first private message to each commenter on a post or reel goes out in order at a natural pace, and no 60 minutes ever hold more than Meta’s official ceiling of 750 private replies. The pace is read from the page’s own size and how fast comments arrive, and when Instagram says slow down, it slows down. No reply is dropped, DM conversations, buttons and order forms never wait in the queue, and while anything is queued the dashboard shows how many replies are on their way and when they will all be out.
No sentence repeats too often under your comments
Public replies under comments have a per-minute pace for each page, and no identical sentence goes up more than 20 times a day. After that the rule’s other wording goes, or — once the customer’s DM has gone — one of DirectFa’s more than a hundred ready lines, each time with a different opening and closing; emoji and spacing do not make a sentence new. A link in a public reply is not saved: it is the commonest sign of comment spam, and it belongs in the DM.
An elastic ceiling that grows with the page
Each page’s public replies a day have a fixed floor — 1,000 for most pages — and grow with the page’s own activity: every morning from its busy days over the last two weeks and from yesterday, and during the day, each time 80% of today’s number is used while Instagram has said nothing, step by step up to 4,000. If Instagram flags the page’s replies as spam, the floor is halved for a week and the growth stops; after a restriction the numbers come back step by step. The safe-sending queue’s pace rises and falls with the page’s size in the same way.
A text inspector in the rule form
As you write a rule, the form points out at once what Meta’s spam rules forbid: making a follow, like or share the condition for seeing content, a prize in return for engagement, a shortened link, and the name of a government or financial body. A card number or a WhatsApp or Telegram link in the first message answering a comment is flagged too, and instead of «Required follow» there is «Follow invitation», which holds nothing back behind a follow. Prices and product details are never flagged, and the final decision is yours.
The day Instagram restricts the page’s messaging
- 1
Automated sending stops at once
When Instagram refuses a message from the page with a restriction notice, the page’s automated sending stops, so a run of refused messages cannot make the restriction longer: 24 hours the first time, and if it happens again within a month 3 days, then a week, then 2 weeks. If only DM replies to comments are refused, only those stop and DM conversations carry on.
- 2
«Why was this page restricted?», with evidence
Instagram does not say why. DirectFa reads what the page itself sent in the 48 hours before and names only the causes the numbers show: one text sent to many people, many messages in a short time, replies sent by another app, content held behind a follow, or links in DMs. Each cause comes with its numbers, an example, how sure the reading is and what you can do; when DirectFa’s own sending was ordinary, it says that too, with the numbers.
- 3
One message tests the water, then everything resumes
When the pause ends, a single message goes first and the rest wait for its answer. If it is delivered, sending resumes by itself and you are told the page’s messaging is back; if it is refused, it waits again, a little longer. If Instagram shows an end date under «Account status», you enter it in the panel and sending returns on exactly that day.
Paused days come back
Every day Instagram temporarily stops your page from sending messages is added back to your subscription.
No tool controls a restriction Instagram places; the days your page cannot send messages are not taken from your subscription. As soon as the page can send again, the paused days are added to your subscription’s end date automatically (up to 30 days per pause), and you are notified.
How to see or remove DirectFa’s access in your own Instagram
DirectFa’s access lives in Instagram’s own settings, and you need no permission from us to see it or take it away. Section names differ a little between app versions.
- 1
See the access
In the Instagram app of that page: profile → the ☰ menu → «Website permissions» → «Apps and websites». In some versions it sits under «Security». DirectFa is listed under «Active».
- 2
Remove the access
Tap DirectFa and choose «Remove». Instagram tells us at once, the access token is deleted and nothing more is sent from the page. Your rules, products and orders stay in your DirectFa account, and «Reconnect» brings everything back where it was.
- 3
Close the DMs only
To stop every tool from sending DMs: profile menu → «Messages and story replies» → «Message controls» (in some versions «Message requests») → under «Connected tools», turn off «Allow access to messages». The switch covers every connected tool, and DMs go again whenever you turn it back on.
- 4
Or from the panel
In «Connect a page», «Remove this page from the panel» deletes the page with its rules and data from DirectFa. How to have every piece of data erased is on the «Delete your data» page.
Your part in keeping the page safe
The password stays with you
Do not give the password to an admin or another tool, and turn on Instagram’s two-factor login. For a teammate there is Meta Business Suite’s limited access, or a DirectFa operator account on their own mobile number.
One auto-reply tool, not two
If another auto-reply app is connected to the page, or Meta AI or automatic replies are on in Instagram’s message settings, turn them off; two tools at once means two answers to one message.
Different texts for busy rules
Write several texts for «Public reply under the comment», or tap «Write different texts for me», and for the DM add two or three more under «More DM texts». Each customer gets one of them.
Not identical, not in a row — from the phone either
Identical replies one after another under comments, and group DMs sent from the Instagram app, count against the page too; «Why was this page restricted?» counts them as well.
Log in to Instagram from one place
Logging in from IP addresses that keep changing can lead Instagram to ask for a fresh check or a new password and cut the page’s connection. If you use an IP-changing tool, pick one fixed location.
Frequently asked questions
Will DirectFa get my Instagram page banned?
DirectFa itself does nothing Instagram reads as spam: it works only through Meta’s official API, answers only people who messaged or commented first, sends replies spaced out and in varied wording, and never goes past Meta’s limits. What draws Instagram’s eye is usually one text sent to many people, a second tool, or content held behind a follow — and the rule form says so while you write. If the page’s sending is ever restricted, automated sending stops at once, and: Every day Instagram temporarily stops your page from sending messages is added back to your subscription.
Do I have to give DirectFa my page’s password?
No. You connect on Instagram’s own login screen — the password goes to Instagram there, not to us — and DirectFa receives only an access token limited to the permissions you approved. If anyone asks for your password in DirectFa’s name, it is not us.
What can DirectFa access on my page?
What Instagram lists on the connect screen: the page’s name, picture and insights, its DMs, its comments, and publishing the posts you schedule. Messages are kept to answer them and to show them in the panel’s inbox, and the page does only what you switched on in the panel. You can export the phone numbers and orders whenever you like, and the «Delete your data» page explains how to have everything erased.
How do I remove DirectFa’s access?
From Instagram’s own settings: «Website permissions» → «Apps and websites» → DirectFa → «Remove». The access token is deleted at once and nothing is sent from the page; your rules and orders stay in your account if you want to come back with «Reconnect». You need no permission from us.
If my page is restricted, how do I find out why?
A «Why was this page restricted?» box opens at the top of the panel: Meta’s code and what it means, the causes the page’s own sending shows — each with its numbers, an example and how sure it is — and what you can do. Instagram itself shows the end date under «Account status», and you can enter it in the panel.
